         but I can't find one that says
 'to a stinker!'"

1946 Modest Maidens~ 
loving those VICTORY ROLLS!

1940s women would fashion 
their hair into rolls
as a show of patriotic support
for their beloved
 soldiers overseas. 
Victory Rolls are commonly 
thought to 
be named in honor of a
WWII plane maneuver 
of the same name.
