These are very cute! I remember as a little girl growing up in the '70's, my grandfather would give me cards similar to these with coins. I think the bank use to issue them. Thank you for sharing!

ReplyDeleteyay thanks for kind the comments:)
ReplyDeletei remember getting coin holders from the bank, too.... there is a whole world of 'money' cards to collect!!:)
I actually have a question. I am trying to find a birthday card that holds quarters for a really good friend. Do you know where I can find one or do they even exist?
ReplyDeletethey do exist! Some people specifically collect vintage greeting cards that hold coins, most commonly dimes and quarters. They are becoming increasingly harder to find and can be quite pricey.$10-$25
ReplyDeleteyou might have some luck searching auction sites such as ebay with search terms like "coin greeting card".."money greeting card".."dime/quarter greeting card"...happy hunting!! jen
I too am looking for children's all occasion greeting cards with coin slots but can not seem to locate them anywhere. Any suggestions on where to look? I haven't been too successful on Ebay either.
ReplyDeletethey're not the easiest cards to find~ a couple ideas: scour the 'lots' on ebay or other auction sites and try to see if they're mixed in. Etsy also has lots of vintage cards available as well as Rubylane or bidstart. Also, it might be helpful to "follow search" on google or in ebay search then alerts are sent to email when something related hits the web. good luck! jen
ReplyDeleteI too am trying to find the actual cards with slots for money. I will look on eBay and Etsy. Thanks.
ReplyDeletehappy treasure hunting!
